Tracking projects with the Cross-Project Report

From the Klocwork Static Code Analysis reports page, customize the Cross-Project report by tagging the projects that you want to add to the report. The report can compare the number of issues in up to five projects, allowing you to see the health of your projects.

The report displays project data for up to 14 days prior to the latest build of the most recently analyzed project.

Configuring the Cross-Project report

To configure this report, you need the Change Project Settings permission.

Include projects in the Cross-Project report by applying the x-report tag:

  • when creating a project, by clicking Track, or
  • when editing a project

There is no limit to how many projects may be tagged with x-report, but only the five most recently active projects will be shown in the report.

Tip: To stop tracking a project in the Cross-Project report, click the edit icon and in the Tags text-box delete x-report from the list of tags.

Using the Cross-Project report

Each project is represented by a line on the graph made up of several nodes. Clicking a node displays an Open Issues by Module report showing the build you clicked plus a few builds that happened before and after.

Clicking a project name in the report legend displays that project's five most recent builds in an Open Issues by Module report.

Note: For migrated projects, these reports will be titled Open Issues by Component.

Applying a filter to the project list also affects the Cross-Project report. For example, if you filter your projects list to show only projects tagged with C/C++, the Cross Project Report will display data for projects with both C/C++ and x-report tags.
