Install

This installation guide was created to walk you through the process of installing Klocwork.

If you're having troubles, see Troubleshooting your installation or check out the online support forums for more troubleshooting information.

Are you upgrading from a previous release?

Upgrading to a newer version of Klocwork is a simple process. Depending on your current installation scenario, you can choose from one of two different upgrade options:
  • importing your projects and configuration settings, or
  • migrating your projects_root directory
To find out which one is right for you, see Upgrading from a previous version.

Installing Klocwork

On Windows and Mac, the Klocwork server is installed using a wizard. The wizard helps you to configure your license server and to define the location of your projects_root directory. Once you've installed the Klocwork server, you must deploy the desktop analysis plug-ins to your users.

For more information see Installing Klocwork and Installing a desktop analysis plug-in.
