Kwbuildproject throws java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

When running an integration build analysis with kwbuildproject, if you see the java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError, Java 7 is likely not installed on the machine where the analysis is running.

Both the Server and desktop analysis plug-in packages install Java 7. However, this error may occur because:

  • you are using a shared installation of the Klocwork Server package. Sharing an installation is fine, but you need to install Java 7 on the machine where the analysis is running.
  • you installed the Klocwork Server package, but uninstalled the JVM version that was installed with it.

What's next?

Install the appropriate version of Java on the machine where the analysis is running and then re-run the build analysis.
