Working with Klocwork Code Review

Ready to get started with your code review? This section provides an end to end description of how to work in Klocwork Code Review.

Submitting your review

Klocwork Code Review supports two types of code review workflows--pre-checkin and post-checkin. Your code review workflow may depend on your company's policy or the SCM system you use.

Hanging out in Klocwork Code Review

Code Review is about collaborating with others in a clean, lightweight, and simple to use environment. Code Review uses social interaction to drive teamwork and communication. You don't just use Code Review, you hang out in Code Review.

Creating reports in Klocwork Code Review

Klocwork reports provide a tool that allows you to see a breakdown of the current states for all of your code reviews. You can use reports to help you track your own progress or the progress of your team.

Participating in code reviews

Now that you're comfortable with creating code reviews with Code Review either within your IDE or on the command line, you can start inviting others to review your code, view diffs or create reports to help you check the progress of your own work and that of your team.

Viewing the Klocwork Code Review Action and Revision Status reports

The Action report and the Status report are connected to feeds. A feed is a collection of updates related to users, to components in your software system, or both.

Viewing the User Activity report

The User Activity report shows data for a particular user over the last seven days.
