Resolving conflicts with other tools that use FlexNet Publisher licensing

Normally you should be able to use several tools, including Klocwork, on one machine using FlexNet Publisher licensing. If, however, you experience a conflict between the Klocwork License Server and one or more other tools running on the same machine and using FlexNet Publisher licensing, set the KLOCWORK_LICENSE_FILE environment variable to point to the Klocwork License Server as follows:

KLOCWORK_LICENSE_FILE=<port>@<host>

where

  • <port>@<host> is the port and the host name or IP address the License Server is running on

Note that Klocwork does not use the FlexNet Publisher LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable, so setting this variable does not address Klocwork licensing issues.
