Klocwork clients cannot connect to Klocwork Server

If a client cannot connect to the Klocwork Server, users will see errors such as:

  • Klocwork Static Code Analysis: An error occurred during login
  • Klocwork: An error occurred during login
  • IDE plugins: Cannot connect to server: Server at http(s)://<host>:<port> is not available

Check to make sure the Klocwork Servers are running with kwservice or Windows Services administration. If the Klocwork Server is running, a firewall may be preventing communication. Check that the right ports are open.

If you notice that the URL in the error message begins with "https" rather than "http", you may have enabled the "Use secure connection" checkbox when a secure connection has not in fact been set up on the Klocwork Server. In this case, "Remote host closed connection during handshake" may also appear in the error message. Try disabling the checkbox and connecting again. See Using a secure Klocwork Server connection for more information.
